POSTWAR  LIONEL 671RR PRR S2 STEAM LOCOMOTIVE & 2046W WHISTLE TENDER
LOT DESCRIPTION:
As the title says this lot consists of a POSTWAR  LIONEL 671RR PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD S2 STEAM TURBINE LOCOMOTIVE with the 2046W Tender that was made for only 1 year in 1952.  The 671RR IS considered to be a reissue of the 671 it is actually a 681 made without magna-traction due to the Korean War.  The locomotive has a operating headlight, and smoke unit and the tender has the bar end trucks with magnetic coupler and it also has a whistle. Both pieces are all original Post War Lionel.
DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION:
The locomotive is in great shape. The loco casting is fine, no breaks, cracks or chips.. No rust or missing parts, great color, numbers nice and clear.  Some minor rubs here and there.    The tender is also  very nice, no cracks, breaks or chips on the shell, lettering crisp and clear, coupler is fine, both rear steps are there and they are perfect. No real issues here at all with the set. Again, a great looking set that IMHO I would rate as in C-7 excellent condition but look at the pictures and you be the judge for the pictures are an important part of the description and say more than my words ever can.
WORKING CONDITION:
I have cleaned, lubed and tested the locomotive and it runs and reverses just fine, e-unit cycles perfectly and the smoke unit works. The whistle on the tender also works fine.
